“He is a great player” – Carlo Ancelotti addresses Real Madrid-Harry Kane speculation

With just one match left of the season, many clubs’ full attention will soon turn to the transfer window, and Real Madrid are no different.

The rumours have already begun regarding who Los Blancos could be signing, and one of the leading names has been Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who appears to be the club’s priority striker target.

Karim Benzema is currently Real Madrid’s only natural striker going into next season, so at least one reinforcement will be required, and it could be Kane. Speaking ahead of Sunday’s match against Athletic Club (via Relevo), Carlo Ancelotti refused to give much away over the club’s supposed interest in the Englishman.

“I’m not going to talk about the future of the squad. Kane is a great player, but he plays for Tottenham. We have to respect that.”

With the possibility of having Benzema and Kane to choose from next season, Ancelotti could have a problem with picking his first-choice, albeit it wouldn’t be a bad problem for the Real Madrid head coach to have.
