Barcelona fans, Real Madrid fans, and Real Zaragoza fans are the latest groups to express their frustrations with the leaked VAR audios, following clips from three more incidents were published by Gerard Romero and Jijantes.
Following the controversial interventions from VAR last weekend with Real Madrid mounting a three-goal comeback against Almeria, the first leaked audio was released on Monday, followed by further incidents on Tuesday.
This time round a clip from the first Clasico of the season, in which Aurelien Tchouameni’s grab of Ronald Araujo is not given as a penalty by VAR, has been made public. Barcelona fans fumed about the incident at the time, while Real Madrid supporters were equally irate about a perceived foul on Eduardo Camavinga later that game.
“He puts his hand on him, of course, but there is never, ever, a penalty,” comments the VAR assistant.
“There’s nothing, he grabs him and jumps up… Accidental.”
“I see the grab as being right on the line,” says another voice from behind.
This of course comes just two weeks after Vinicius Junior was given a penalty for what appeared to be a similar level of contact from Ronald Araujo.

Meanwhile another controversial incident, the potential sending off of Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo de Paul against Real Madrid last weekend was also leaked.

@JijantesFC have released further leaked VAR audio from the Madrid derby last week.
"He steps on him, yes," says the VAR referee, but as they did not consider it a straight red, they could not intervene to give Rodrigo de Paul a second yellow.pic.twitter.com/9KdzfxfEii

A further controversial incident that was seen by the VAR but not given, to the incredulity of the fans, was a handball on the line preventing a goal in Segunda between Real Zaragoza and Amorebieta. “It looks very close to his body and down,” can be heard on the VAR audio.

Having seemingly had access to the database of VAR incidents, it looks as if the controversy could run for some time yet. The RFEF have decided to start releasing the audio from the incidents after the games, but it appears they have come too late.
