Las Palmas slap €12m asking price on key player amid strong interest from Real Betis

Las Palmas are preparing to lose Alvaro Valles this summer, with the 26-year-old goalkeeper attracting strong interest from his former club, Real Betis. Valles himself is very interested in a return to the Benito Villamarin, which has left the islanders in a predicament, as his contract expires in 2025.

Despite this, Las Palmas will ask for a significant amount in order to part ways with Valles. Marca have reported that they will only entertain offers worth €12m or higher, meaning that Betis will need to splash out in order to secure his signature this summer.

Valles has had a phenomenal season, despite Las Palmas’ significant drop-off over the last few months. He has a very good save percentage (72%) and has the second best record in La Liga in terms of goals prevented (5.9, behind Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili).

In order to sign Valles this summer, Real Betis will need to generate funds. Securing European qualification will certainly help in this regard, but sales may need to be made before they can enter into negotiations with Las Palmas.
